The Construction Plant-Hire Association
The Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) is the leading trade association in the UK for companies that hire plant and equipment to the construction industry. CPA was established almost 80 years ago and now has over 1,700 members. CPA members supply over 85% of the hired plant to the construction industry.
The CPA Model Conditions are regarded as the industry standard for plant hire agreements and the CPA Best Practice Guides cover the essential health, safety and legal requirements for operating plant, and have had endorsement from the HSE and industry.
The CPA also provides a link between Government bodies and the plant-hire industry. It works closely with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), ConstructionSkills, Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group, European Rental Association Board and the Safety and Sustainability Committee.
